The Electrician/Electrical Technologist position is based in Bathurst, NB and will report to the Shop Foreman.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Install electrical equipment for e-house fabrication.

·         Control panel and equipment assembly.

·         Rebuild electro-mechanical equipment.

·         Testing Electrical components

·         Maintenance, installation, Commissioning, and repair of medium/high voltage substation equipment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

   Electrical technologist or Electrical trade certification red seal interprovincial

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·         3 – 5 years in related field

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQIREMENTS

·      Strong knowledge of electrical circuits

·      Troubleshooting electrical components

·      Excellent organization and time management skills

·      Construction scheduling, planning, and execution

·      Engineered drawings and diagram reading.

·      Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.

·      A self-starting personality able to work individually or as part of a high functioning team committed to the success of the organization.

·      A willingness to learn and grow.

·      Flexible to work after hours and receive after hour calls.

·      Physically fit to lift and carry electrical test equipment.

·      Able to work indoor and outdoor.

·      Willing and able to travel to various sites in and around the Atlantic Provinces.

·      Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

·      Strong Computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, Project).

·      Bilingual could be considered an asset.
